Naomi's eyes scowered the New York allys, for nothing inparticular. Then her eye cought a hotdog stand. A smirk had risen to her face, and she ran over to the stand. She jumped over trash cans, and signs. Once she was two feet away she leaped in the air. Her jaws clamped on to a 5ft strand of hotdog links. She smirked as she ran away. "Get back her you mutt!" The hotdog vender yelled, and his fist in the air.

Rusty smirked at his sister, and watched her. Then he began to wander the streets, his eyes glared at the humans as he walked past them

Renko sighed as she lay down in a tight alleyway, her body begging for food. Her stomach growled loudly.

Jasef groaned as he stepped on his hurt ankle. "This is not the life of a former police dog." he mumbled.

Naomi ran and ran, then she heard the sound of a truck fallowed her. She turned her head. A pound truck. She growled, then took off in a wide ally, Naomi bolted down the ally the truck fallowed. All that was there was a wire fence, 10 feet. She ran faster then jumped, she landed three forths of the way then, climbed over and ran into Jasef. But the pound truck gave up and drove away.

Rusty heard the growl of a stomach and he walked down the ally and found Renko. "Are you ok?" He asked.

"Ow!" yelped Jasef as he was knocked over. He got up and helped the she-dog up. "Are you okay?"

Renko shook her head. "I'm starved."

Felix groaned as he opened his eyes. "I'm hungry... got any food, Fern?" Fern searched the dumpster. "Nope, wanna go scavenging?" "Can't you, gorgoues?" "No, not without you, Lazybones." "My father's name is Lazybones." "You know what? You are CRAZY, Felix." "I know it. Lets go." Felix got out of nest, aka his pile of junk which he treasured, and headed out of the alleyway. Fern followed.

"Oh, I'll go get someting for you." He said and bolted to the hotdog stand. Rusty ran up behind it and grabed one of the hotdog links and brought the 5 foot link to her. "Here you are." He gave them to her.

Naomi shook her pelt and looked at him. "Oh yea Im fine. Are you?" She said with the hotdogs in her mouth.

"Just peachy." Jasef said, licking his ankle.

Renko's mouth watered at the sight of food. She gobbled down 2 of the hotdogs.

"What happened to you anckle?" Naomi asked, droping the hotdogs.

Rusty pushed the rest of the hotdogs to her.

Renko finished the hotdogs. "Thank you so much." she smiled at Rusty.

"Sprained it." Jasef said.

Fern sniffed in. "I think there are some dogs over there." Felix smelled around. "There are, we better avoid them." Fern went up to the hotdog stand. There were a few people near-by, including some kids. Kids always spilled. Fern stepped up to a group of small kids and layed on her back. "awwwww!" All the kids ran over to pet her, usually dropping their hotdogs/burger scraps. "Win!" Fern murmered as she gathered up the scraps and dashed back to Felix. Felix shook his head and said, "How do you do it?" "You have to be born with the right looks. I'm small, cute and huggable. You are big and slobbery." Replied Fern.

"No problem. Say whats your name? Im Rusty." He smiled.

"And how did you manage that?" Naomi sat down, then looked at him.

"Renko. Pleasure to meet ya Rusty." Renko said.

"Well, i was rummaging through a dumpster for my dinner and the pound guys came, so i had to make a break for it. I jumped out of the dumpster and landed on my ankle funny." Jasef siad.

Fern looked towards the alley. "Come on, lets check them out!" Fern slowly got up from eating the scraps. "I dunno..." Said Felix, scratching his ear. "There might be cute dogs!" "I'm right behind you!" Said Felix, jumping up.

"Oh, I give thoes pound people a run for there money." She laughed.

Rusty smiled, "Nice to meet you too, Renko."

Jasef laughed. "I'll bet."

Renko smiled.

"Oh yeah. I just jumped that fence over there." Naomi pointed to the 15ft wire fence. "They never get me." She smirked.

Rusty layed down and asked. "So how long have you been on the streets?"

"About 6 months...." Renko said.

Jasef laughed. "I could jump that fence if my ankle was feeling better."
