Mystic Island

Imagine: winning a ticket to an AMAZING very expsenive cruise. We packed our bags and got ready. Then, on the third night on our cruise, the ship sank. There was no storm, no sharp rocks. Just broke a hole in the hull and sank- fast. You luckily got away intact, but the lifeboat you were on (With a lot of unluck) Gets swept away. Cue very LATE storm and you wake up washed up on an island. No electiricty, no phones, no hope. Luckily you weren't the only one. Some other kids got washed away too. With their help, you raise a small camp and make a small living. But this island is mysterious... and your not alone.

Rules! (Rules are neccesary)
1. Mild cussing is aloud. Ex. Heck and crap
2. PG-13 please!
3. You can bring ONE object with you, but make it realilistic. Who would have a gun or a harpoon or a fishing pole with them? Pocketknives and a lighter are a MAYBE. But try to be original with your object.
4. Later we are going to meet islanders, which are animal shapeshifters, light and dark elves, and vampires (And no, they don't smoke in the daylight, these vampires are cooler than that.) . At that time, and NOT before, you can create mystical characters. Animal Shapeshifters can shift into one animal only.

Elizabeth slowly opened her eyes. Then shut them extremely fast because of the brightness. "Ugh..." Her throat felt like sand paper. Slowly she reopened her eyes and examined her surroundings. It was a beach. The beach lasted forever on both sides of her but in front of her about hundred or so feet away was jungle so thick she couldn't see through it. And way in the forest... was a volcano. Lizzy slowly got up and looked around. She couldn't see any of her friends.

A little further down the beach Elinor was coughing. A while ago she had just woken up, completely alone and soaked wet on the beach. She had checked if she was injured or anything, but other than coughing and being cold and soaked, she was completely unharmed. What scared her was that she couldn’t remember how she got there. The last thing she remembered was being on the ship. She didn’t remember falling overboard or any sinking ship. The beach was really a perfect paradise, but Elinor was scared. She had no idea where she was. Finally she got up and starting to walk along the beach, looking for any signs of civilization.

"Alright... lets start exploring!" Lizzy was usually shy and held in, but this was exciting. "Okay, last thing I can remember is falling off that danged ship. Thats established. I probably washed up on some carribean island... that means I'll find people sooner or later." Lizzy was talking to herself. Then she saw a figure in the distance. (Its Elinor.) "Hey there! Can you hear me?" Lizzy yelled, her voice slightly hoarse but clear.

Elinor heard someone yelling and then she saw a figure of a person further down the beach.
“Hey there!” she yelled and waved an arm, and then she ran towards the person. At least she now knew she was not alone. It was annoying to run with wet clothes and it was almost impossible to run with wet shoes in the sand. She stopped running when she finally reached Lizzy.
“Hello,” she greeted, panting.

Lizzy looked at Elinor. Soaking wet clothes... either this person was strange or was also on the cruise. "Hey, your that girl that was also on the cruise..." Lizzy looked rather dissapointed. "Have you seen any other people?"

“My name is Elinor,” she said. “And yes I was also on the cruise. I haven’t seen any other than you. What actually happened? I can’t really remember.”
She turned around, just to check again if there was something that could give a clue about other people being around. She didn’t see anything other than the natural, untouched, beautiful beach.

"I'm not sure... I remember the alarm going out and this weird blaring to go to the escape boats. I was heading there when the boat tilted. I lost my balance and fell off. Then I remember being on the beach. Thats all." Lizzy said. "I think we're on an island in the carribean. That means we have to find people sooner or later, right?"

“We probably will. At least I hope so,” Elinor said, still searching the beach with her eyes. “Luckily we are not completely alone, we found each other. What’s your name? You didn’t tell.”
Elinor was still dripping, and she really wanted to change clothes. But that would be impossible, at least not until they found some sort of civilization.

"Call me Lizzy." Liz replied.

Will opened his eyes and groaned. He stood up and looked around and saw only sand.

Will turned around and saw some people talking, he walked over to them "Where are we?" he asked

Lizzy, mildly shocked but maintaining her cool, turned to look at Will. "I think we're in the Carribean. Who are you?" Lizzy figured he wasn't a local as well.

"William" Will said "So, we're marooned here?"

"I guess so... till we find someone that lives here anyway. I mean, what are the odds that we land on an uninhabited island?" Lizzy said, trying to be optimistic. Then Lizzy saw a small glint a few feet away. She dashed over and picked up something. "Did you lose a pocketknife?" Lizzy asked William.

Elinor was shocked when William suddenly appeared. She didn’t see him coming, and she had no idea where he came from. Just when she was about to introduce herself, Lizzy picked up the pocketknife.
“That can come in handy,” Elinor said. “I mean; if we don’t find someone soon.”

"Would an uninhabited island have a modern pocketknife?" Lizzy said. She stuck it in her pocket to use for later. "Come on, lets explore." Lizzy bounded down the beach.
